YottaChain Project Progress Bi-weekly News 【8.19–8.30】

Preface: As the only storage chain which can ensure data reliability and security, YottaChain has attracted much attention since the project was launched. In order to let followers know more about the progress and latest developments of YottaChain project, YottaChain publishes biweekly reports of the project every two weeks, please pay attention!

Technology Development Progress

1. The system is upgraded to V0.7. After the upgrade, the network storage speed could reach up to 2GB/min even if all 330 network clients upload at the same time. Some miners can reach a speed of 6.05 Mb/s, with a maximum of 7.1 Mb/s.

2. Equipped with a flow control mechanism, miners can control the queue when dealing with a large number of requests for uploading, rejecting excessive storage fragmentation requests, therefore the miner has smooth communication to avoid network congestion;

3. With a new QOS control mechanism put in place, network communication capability of miner has been enhanced, thus the request for uploading could be properly allocated. Currently the mechanism needs to be further optimized;

4. Multipart signature reporting system has been optimized on the miner and accounting node, shortening the reporting process, reducing network pressure, and improving success of storage;

5. Automatic upgrade is now available with the miner. The miner program can automatically detects the software version and upgrades after the new version is found;

6. The distribution mechanism of the miner has been improved to reduce the time required to re-apply due to poor network connection or overload happened to a certain miner;

7. Some bugs with accounting node have been fixed to reduce the pressure on memory and network communication;

8. The miners’ storage mode performance difference has been verified to reach a conclusion that miner is preferentially deployed with block devices;

9. Visual tools and automatic monitoring tools for operation data has been developed to enhance the ability to discover and solve problems;

10.A few of bugs have been fixed to solve the problem of long queues or even crashes in some cases;

11. The problem of global interpreter lock mechanism applied on miner’s accounting node may affect miner performance has been found, which is in the process of solving now.

Commercial Application and Eco System Construction

1. Blockchain Special Committee of the China Industrial Communication Association held the fifteenth chairperson (expansion) conference of the first CCIAPCB, during which a key code contributor of YottaChain, Sursen Interplanetary (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. was elected as the executive deputy director and obtained Class B qualification certificate as highest level blockchain institution (it needs to be established for 3+ years to participate in Grade A qualification application).

2. Recently, YottaChain announced that “Yotta Byte Block Big Data Industry Base”, which is based in Dongying city of China Shandong province and invested by Yotta Eco Fund has finished site selection, is ready for its construction, with the first batch of super node companies including Xingchen Cloud Technology have settled in. According to the related person with Yotta Eco Fund, YottaChain blockchain storage ecology will reach the scale of 100 million digital users in the future, and it expects to make joint efforts with more forward-looking and ambitious partners to construct, cooperate and succeed together.

3, At the beginning of this September, YottaChain will sign strategic cooperation agreements with a number of partners from big data and IOT industries, such as Beijing Jinpin High-end Technology, Beijing Kuncheng Technology, Guangzi Ruili Technology, with a aim to promote YottaChain commercial applications.

4. Zhao Weimin, vice president of YottaChain, discussed with SANY Building Intelligence in terms of YottaChain’s application in building BIM and construction site monitoring.

Remarkable Achievements in Market Compaigns

1. Alex Wang, founder of YottaChain, was invited to attend the #POW’ER 2019 Global Developers Conference main forum event held in Beijing on August 20th and delivered a keynote speech themed ”Blockchain Storage: a market valued one trillion RMB can take on cloud storage” . At the conference, he participated in a heated debate on “gaming and fusion of distributed storage and centralized storage”, chaired by Mr. Liu Dong, innovation manager of Accenture Greater China, joined by Mr. Zhu Jiang, GM of blockchain department of Kingsoft Cloud.

2. Will Hou ,CEO of YottaChain, was invited to attend the “Health Brings Future, Technology Brings Profit — Human Genome Data Storage and Application Seminar” held in Chaohu city of China Anhui province on August 20th, and discussed the promising future of GTA ecological development with many industry guests. GTA GeneChain and YottaChain expressed to cooperate on genetic data storage to drive genetic science development.

3. Alex Wang, founder of YottaChain, was invited to participate in the “2019MiiX Global Blockchain Application Eco Developer Summit” held in Shanghai on August 30th, and delivered a speech themed “Technology Architecture and Disruptive Application Scenarios for Blockchain Storage”. Meanwhile, together with many industry insiders, Alex Wang also exchanged views on blockchain technology innovation, trend innovation, application ecology construction, DAPP/BAPP development, security, underlying agreement, cross-chain, DeFi, developer ecological development, bottleneck with blockchain development as well as the industrialization of global technology.

4. YottaChain kicked off “Knowledge Q&A”activity in Huobi Chat community, which attended by a large number of community users. At present, the number of the community users has exceeded 15,000. In addition, the number of BiYong community users reached 130,000, with the total number of YottaChian community users in all channels surpassing 1.3 million.

5. On August 30, 2019, marking the 60th day for YottaChain beta going online, YottaChain held an activity named “What is your story with YottaChain? Tell us your story and you have a chance to win one million RMB prize! “The story voting activity is divided into three stages: “Soliciting articles for original story” (8.30~9.24), “Lucky 126, voting for you” (9.24~9.30), and Awards Presenting (7 working days). The story format is not limited.

6. On August 28th, the Zhongguancun Private Technology Entrepreneur Association held the 9th“Face to Face with Entrepreneurial Leaders”activity in Sursen Group in Beijing, which attended by Mr. Lu Ruiqing, the executive director of Zhongguancun Private Technology Entrepreneur Association; Alex Wang, deputy director of Zhongguancun Private Technology Entrepreneur Association and founder of YottaChain; Mr. Li Zhisheng, vice chairman of MDC Telecom; Ms. Zhuang Jing, executive director of ZhongTai Securities; Mr. Xinyang, deputy director of the National Engineering Laboratory of Disaster Recovery Technology of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications; Mr. Wang Dongxun, secretary general of China Trade Promotion Association; Ms. Su Tingting, general manager of JiuRu YiTian Nursing Home; Ms. Zhao Peiling, deputy general manager of Yiziwei Technology; Ms. Yu Wei, general manager of Beijing Zhengye Technology and Mr. Zhu Ansheng, general manager of Beijing ShengAn International Technology. The participators conducted profound communication and broad exchange on“opportunities and challenges facing blockchain in 5G era”and reached many fruitful agreements.
